Arzan Khambatta

To an artist, his studio is his temple. However messy it might look, there is a method in the madness, and there is no place on earth he is more at peace than here.

I started working in a small 200 sqft room in the parsi colony in 1982. When i got married in 1993 and required the room to stay in, i shifted to a 100 sqft room in wadala.

At that time commissioned works started appearing and i needed extra hands to help me out besides my own. I found a fabricators workshop in andheri where i worked from. I worked here from 1994 to 2000.

From 2001 to 2002, i worked from a similar fabricators workshop in Darukhana. In 2003, once again, we rented out our own space and started working in a 300sqft unit at Bussa Industrial estate in Sewree.

Then in 2004 we shifted to our current location, fondly known as Studio Teekayteen.
